Dr Patrick Lim

Dr. Patrick Lim is an orthopaedic spine surgeon. Born and raised in Newcastle he graduated from medical school at the University of Newcastle. He further went on to achieve a Master of Surgery at the University of Sydney and completed his orthopaedic surgical training through the Australian Orthopaedic Association. Most recently Dr Lim graduated from multiple spine fellowships at the prestigious New York University Hospital in New York and at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, gaining world-class experience in all aspects of spine surgery. Dr Lim has multiple areas of interest in spine including both adult and paediatric deformity surgery, especially scoliosis, minimally invasive degenerative spine surgery and robotic spine surgery. He is trained in all regions of the spine, including the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine with techniques to access the spine from multiple approaches. Dr Lim is a consultant surgeon at the John Hunter Hospital and atthe Sydney Children’s Hospital. In the private system, he operates at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital and sees patients in his office at The Orthopaedic Clinic in The Junction.
