Dr Sophia Roser

Dr Sophia Roser is a neurosurgeon focusing on brain and spine surgery for both adults and children. She completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney and worked at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Wollongong Hospital before commencing her Neurosurgical training. After completing her training at serveral hospitals including Westmead, John Hunter and the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospitals she was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2020. In 2021 she worked at Auckland City Hospital for a post fellowship training year before moving home to Newcastle. She has a full time appointment at John Hunter Hospital and has commenced her private practice with us at Newcastle Private Hospital with her consulting rooms onsite in our Cambridge suite
