    The program brings together experienced clinicians and child protection professionals to provide a practical and contemporary update on key issues affecting children and young people. Topics include the recognition of child maltreatment in Australia, child protection legislation and frameworks in NSW, identifying and responding to abuse and neglect, the impact of domestic violence on children, and responding appropriately to disclosures of sexual harm. The afternoon session focuses on paediatric asthma, with expert presentations covering current asthma guidelines for children and adolescents, treatment escalation, self-management strategies, inhaler technique, adherence, asthma action plans, and referral pathways for specialist care. Attendees will gain valuable insights and practical strategies to support the care of children and families in everyday clinical practice.
