Dr Alvand Amiri

Dr Alvand Amiri is a consultant specialist Dermatologist with over 25 years’ experience in the field.
 
His particular areas of interest are in skin cancer and skin cancer surgery, inflammatory skin conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis and auto immune skin conditions.

Dr Amiri has been involved in teaching medical students and general practitioners in Dermatology and has published many articles in the Australasian Journal of Dermatology and Czech Republic Dermatology journals.

He has been a presenter at the International Academy of Dermatology and European Academy of Dermatovenereology.

Dr Amiri graduated from the Charles University Medical School in Prague in 1998 and after five years of specialty dermatology training, he was awarded a specialist degree in Dermatology from the Charles University Hospital. He is a member of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology.

After relocating to Australia, Dr Amiri obtained his Master of Medicine degree from the University of Queensland and gained his fellowship with the Australasian College of Dermatologists after further speciality training at the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, The Skin Hospital in Sydney and successfully completing fellowship exams with the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
