LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the successful completion of this course, the candidate should be able to;

  • Recognise the anatomy of the ear
  • Recognise common pathology of the ear, external, and middle ear
  • Assess the risks and benefits of wax removal and understands the various methods available
  • Safely perform an ear irrigation
  • Communicate to a patient the details of the procedure and explain the risks involved
  • Document the details of any procedure in the patient record comprehensively
