Professor Chris Levi, Senior Staff Specialist, Neurologist, John Hunter Hospital
Christopher Levi is an academic stroke neurologist, Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Science, Executive Director, Research and Innovation, Hunter New England (HNE) LHD and Conjoint Professor of Medicine, University of Newcastle.
He established HNE’s Acute Stroke Services and the John Hunter Sports Concussion Clinic, pioneered tele-stroke care in NSW, led the roll-out of acute stroke units across NSW and established the HNE Research and Translation Directorate. He continues in an acute stroke services role at John Hunter Hospital and leads stroke clinical trials nationally and internationally.
He is a founding partner in the Newcastle Brain Centre at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital.
