Dr Andrew Hedges

Andrew studied medicine at the University of Newcastle before completing a Masters in Reproductive Medicine in Sydney, where he then trained and began working in IVF at Royal North Shore Hospital. He has also worked in the UK. He has over 20 years’ experience in infertility and ceased his busy obstetrics practice to concentrate on reproductive medicine and gynaecology. Andrew is Clinical Director of Hunter IVF and is published nationally and internationally in his field, he was also awarded the College Medal by the Royal & New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Andrew fosters collaborative research into sperm DNA damage with the world-renowned Aiken Centre at the University of Newcastle, and other areas of specialism include: hormonal disorders, such as polycystic ovarian syndrome endometriosis, including advanced laparoscopic surgery implantation and pregnancy loss pelvic floor and reconstructive surgery
