Dr Nicole Organ

Dr Nicole Organ is a vascular and endovascular surgeon in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie area. Dr Organ is a senior staff specialist at John Hunter Hospital and on the Board of Vascular Surgeon for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. She is regularly involved in teaching of vascular trainees through skills course and exam preparation courses. She was director of vascular surgery at John Hunter hospital for 5 years and is now the Deputy Director of Surgery at John Hunter Hospital. Dr Organ is a member of the Vascular Health Care team providing comprehensive vascular care including vascular ultrasound and treatment of arterial and venous vascular disease. Dr Organ is also appointed as the stream leader for the Hunter New England wound care stream. Dr Organ is an experienced clinician in the medical and surgical management of all types of vascular disease and lower limb wounds and ulceration using minimal invasive and open surgical techniques. Dr Organ has been a full member of the Australian Vascular Audit since its inception in 2009 contributing all her major cases and outcomes for review against Australian standards. Dr Organ has published research on the topics of carotid endartectomy, vascular examination and vascular surgery cases. She is currently supervising research in peripheral vascular disease and aortic aneurysms in the Hunter New England area.
