Dr Andrew Ying, Specialist Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon


Dr Andrew Ying is a specialist vascular surgeon who manages the full range of arterial and venous conditions, incorporating both traditional open surgical and minimally invasive endovascular techniques.

Dr Ying graduated from the University of Sydney and undertook his specialist surgical training throughout major centres in NSW, including Westmead, Royal Prince Alfred, Concord, St George and Canberra Hospitals. He then pursued further post-fellowship training at St Mary’s and Charing Cross Hospitals, London, a renowned quaternary referral centre for complex aortic pathologies from around the UK. He has been actively involved in medical research and is lead author in several high-impact journals including The Lancet and The Cochrane Database.

Dr Ying provides the same high standard of care for all public and private patients through appointments at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Lingard Private Hospitals.

Dr Ying’s interests include: renal dialysis and IV access, aortic and other arterial aneurysms, carotid disease, peripheral arterial disease, varicose veins and deep venous conditions and spinal access surgery
