Dr Haron is an Australian-trained Neurosurgeon with special interests in neuro-oncology and complex and minimally invasive spinal surgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a Member of the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia.
After graduating from the University of Newcastle with Distinction in 2014, Dr Haron completed the Surgical Education and Training program in Neurosurgery across centres in Newcastle, Sydney, Wellington and Wollongong, being awarded his FRACS in 2025. He holds a Master’s of Neurosurgery through the University of Sydney and has contributed to multiple research publications throughout his career. Following training, Dr Haron undertook dedicated postgraduate fellowship training in complex spinal surgery through the Vancouver Spine Surgery Institute in North America, working with leading surgeons in spinal oncology, trauma and deformity correction. He has since returned to Newcastle with appointments at John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle Private, Lingard Private and Lake Macquarie Private Hospitals.
Dr Haron delivers exceptional, evidence-based surgical care in a compassionate and patient-centred manner, with special interests in minimally invasive and endoscopic spinal surgery and complex spinal deformity correction. He works collaboratively with each patient to develop an individualised management plan focused on minimising pain and optimising functional recovery.
