Orthopaedic & Spinal Update will cover a broad range of current and emerging topics in the field. The program includes sessions on non-operative management of osteoarthritis and strategies to avoid infections in lower limb arthritis surgery. It will also address the relationship between elective orthopaedic surgery and fat embolism, and provide insights into what is now possible in oncology and sarcoma surgery. Attendees will hear updates on simple fracture management in 2025, with a focus on recent randomised controlled trials. Additional topics include spine management, patellar instability and evolving patterns of knee instability management, as well as the latest advances in treating hand arthritis and wrist instability. The day will also cover rotator cuff and shoulder osteoarthritis management, including arthroplasty, and approaches to managing foot and ankle instability.
